We were invited to Willard School in Ridgewood, NJ for their "Service Day". During this amazing event, GKDR president, Lisa Adamek and GKDR Treasurer, Christine Poggi, explained what rescue is to the children in this awesome elementary school. We teamed up with Kristina Handley from Two Dollar Tuesday (& also adopter of GKDR alumni, Artie) to make bake-free dog treats, create PSA posters and learn why it is so important to spay and neuter your pets. Tara Metzler of PigDog, supplied the students with PSA coloring pages to wrap up the day.
Prior to our visit, the students at Willard School had collected an enormous amount of supplies and food for our dogs. We were so humbled by the philanthropy and generosity of this school. It was such a great day for all who were part of it.
